How did you hear about Luella’s when you were engaged?
I heard about Luella’s through a friend of mine who had bought her dress and accessories the year before.
What items did you get for your big day from Luella’s Boudoir?
I got 5 Bridesmaids dresses made, all different styles and different colours; my wedding dress, veil and hair accessories, Matron of honour shoes and Luellas bought me some Mrs Tovey panties! My mother got her hair accessories and I had two flower dresses altered and accessorised.
What did you enjoy about your Luella’s Boudoir experience?
I loved Rachel the owner – who was so helpful, she knew exactly what I felt and she was so organised; always on top of things and ALWAYS going the extra mile. I had a bridesmaid who was on a very strict diet… losing over three stone before the wedding! Luellas were so good about this- organising fittings right up until the last minute. I feel I made a good friend in Rachel and she even came to watch me walk down the aisle.
Also, I trusted the girls so much at Luella’s that my bridesmaids went for fittings without me always having to attend!
Any bits of advice for brides-to-be, or things you would do differently for your wedding?
As the bride – you have to take control and make the decisions about colours and theme’s for the wedding, after that, it is nice to let the bridesmaids individuality shine through with tweaks to each dress. Also, take advice from people who know – like Luella’s – they are dressing bridesmaids and brides every day – so they often have good ideas.
If you can relinquish control – do so – Get some wedding planning assistance, so that you can enjoy your big day! It goes too quickly!
What was your favourite part of your big day?
Walking back down the aisle with my husband!

When I originally went to Luella’s I had already chosen a wedding dress from a big wedding dress supplier in London. However, I never felt really 100% about that dress; I also had the feeling that 100’s of other brides would be wearing the same dress too!
I saw another wedding dress at Luella’s whilst I was at a bridesmaid fitting. The dress seemed to twinkle at me and from that moment, I was in love and I HAD TO HAVE THE DRESS from Luella’s. I can safely say, you just “know” when you have the right dress – trust your instinct.
Also, at Luella’s you can be sure you will achieve individuality in all dresses and accessories you choose!
